Handling kieselgur and maize starch sacks is an everyday routine in breweries and also a logistical challenge, because the manual process of opening sacks, emptying them and conveying the kieselgur and maize starch to the dissolving tanks is time-consuming, and also generates a lot of dust and involves loss of product. Telschig provides mature products for the whole kieselgur handling process in the form of automatic sack emptying plant. Various automatic Telschig plant for emptying maize starch sacks is used in the breweries of the Mexican company Grupo Modelo. Depending on the type of plant, output varies between 500 and 600 sacks per hour. The plants are fully explosion-protected, and the product contact parts are made of special steel. The plants can be readily modified to suit customer requirements.

Grupo Modelo is one of the five largest breweries in the world, and is particularly well known as a producer of the beer brand Corona. The Mexican company decided on the prime plant supplied Telschig Verfahrenstechnik GmbH, strictly on the principle of "Only the best is good enough". Two more plants for emptying kieselgur and maize starch sacks are being added this autumn. The Telschig compact solutions reduce manpower costs, humanise the workplace, and reduce product loss and dust generation as far as possible. At the same time the packing material is disposed of in an environment-friendly manner, providing an economically attractive overall process.

New order for Telschig

Telschig Verfahrenstechnik GmbH recently received a repeat order: Zippe is a plant construction company operating principally in the glass industry, and needed various items of plant for a project in South America for crushing soda agglomerations and salt cake at a total of four different locations in the production process. Since the input size of the agglomerations was not known, and the average throughput varied between 10 and 32 m3 per hour, Telschig provided Zippe with a total of five different Cembreak types to choose from.

Having clarified the parameters with the customer, Zippe decided on two models, The Cembreak ZP 330 ED/W and the ZP 330T/W. Two plants of each type are being supplied in August of this year. The Cembreak ZP 330T/W is already successfully in use in previous Zippe projects.
